As for everything else you’ve just read… well. Stories have a funny way of taking on lives of their own. Some begin with facts and drift into fiction. Others start as fiction but ring uncomfortably true the longer you sit with them.

Did a young woman named Olivia ever sit behind the reception desk at a TV station that exists somewhere between here and elsewhere? Did the basement door really open by itself? Did Bernard ever hum a tune no one could name?

Hard to say.

What we can tell you is this: Sometimes, a story is just a story. And sometimes, it’s something reaching out—quietly, gently—hoping you’ll reach back.

So if you ever find yourself flipping through channels late one night and stumble across something strange—something that knows you—don’t be afraid.
